The Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015 (CDM 2015)

The Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015 (CDM 2015) are the primary set of health and safety regulations governing construction projects in the UK. They are designed to improve the planning, management and coordination of health and safety from the earliest stages of a project through to completion and future use of the building.
CDM 2015 places specific legal duties on Clients, Designers, Principal Designers, Contractors and Principal Contractors to ensure that risks are properly identified, eliminated where possible, and effectively controlled. By promoting early risk management, cooperation between project teams and the provision of clear health and safety information, CDM 2015 helps to protect workers, building users and the public, while ensuring that construction projects are delivered safely and in compliance with the law.
